Leave good negative comment
Comment are important in blogging. It is a feedback from readers to the blogger. It can help to drive traffic to a blog. If you come across a post with many comments, it caught your attention and make you stay to read that post. A way for beginner blogger to gain exposure is to leave comments on others blog.
There are times that we disagree with a blogger and have to give some negative comments about it. It is nothing wrong to leave negative comment as long as it is left in a good manner. Why leaving a good negative comment:
● Caught attention
If you are able to leave negative comments that can caught attention on a blog, you bring
readers on that blog to visit your blog.
● Helping the blogger
If you come to a blogger who has potential in blogging but have make a few mistakes which you think it is necessary to be improved. By leaving some good negative comments, you are helping the blogger to become better. If your comments are harsh, you may demotivate him and make him angry. And the blogger will ignore you.
How to give good negative comments :
● A good comments should point out:
- What you disagree / do not like
- Why you think that need to be improved
- How to improve on them
Do not leave useless negative comments like : Your blog suck or “Your blog have a bad design” . This kind of negative comment is pointless and rude.
● Give some encouragement
Everything is not perfect. They have the bad and good side. So do not always focus on the bad side, see the good side as well. Write something which the blogger has done very well. For example, “Your content is well organized”. I’m sure blogger will not very angry when he/she found that the blog has something that you like.
● Ask the blogger to reply
Welcome to blogger give a reply regarding your comment. Invite him/her to communicate with you. Who knows both of you may become blogger friends.
Allow me to demonstrate a positive but negative comment (actually useful criticism!)
I like the way you style your content with subheadings that are in bold. This makes your article easy to read.
However, there is something wrong with your header at the top of the page. I’m using Firefox and the main image is off to the left. Something is not right. It also looks weird in Internet Explorer.
I would also consider changing out the somewhat generic links in your blogroll. Perhaps you could link to other metablogs (blogs about blogging) such as Copyblogger or DoshDosh. But I would lose the Wordpress links.
